Digging deep for tracks on wax at Super Mega 5

Dead Vinyl Society’s Super Mega Records Garage Sale returns March 30 and 31

Dead Vinyl Society’s Super Mega Records Garage Sale returns for its fifth edition. Super Mega 5 is back at Kenilworth Community Hall (7104 87 Avenue) over Easter Long Weekend (March 30 and 31) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.

Daily admission to the sale is $2.00 per person per day. Attendees are also encouraged to please bring a food donation of “most-needed items” to Edmonton’s Food Bank (see the Edmonton Food Bank website for details). A portion of financial proceeds will also be donated to the food bank. Children aged 13 and under receive free entry.

The focus of Super Mega Records Garage Sale is on quality vinyl at “garage sale prices.” Multiple vendors will fill the hall with roughly 50,000 albums, 12” singles, 45s, 78s, cassettes and 8-tracks, along with music memorabilia and more. Most items will be $1.00 to $3.00 on day one with lower prices still on day two.

Super Mega also features Edmonton DJs playing tunes throughout the event.

“Thinking back to the humble beginnings of the first Super Mega Records Garage Sale in my home’s garage, an overwhelming feat I wouldn’t care to repeat, it’s pretty amazing to see the event reach the five-year milestone,” says Dead Vinyl Society cofounder Yuri Wuensch. “The response to Super Mega and our recurring monthly Bring Out Your Dead! record swap meets has been phenomenal. We’re really glad to be part of such an incredible vinyl community in Edmonton.”
