Dead Vinyl Society’s Easter egg hunt for music lovers is back April 19 & 20


Super Mega Records Garage Sale is back! Hosted by Dead Vinyl Society, the music extravaganza returns for its sixth edition at Kenilworth Community Hall (7104 87 Avenue) on April 19 and 20 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily.

Multiple vendor will fill the hall with roughly 50,000 quality albums, 12” singles, 45s and more – all at garage sale prices. Most items on day one will be $1.00-3.00 with deeper discounts on day two.

“Super Mega Records Garage Sale always leaves me with a sore back but a full heart,” says Dead Vinyl Society cofounder Yuri Wuensch. “It’s truly a labour of love and a super fun event that celebrates vinyl collecting culture.”

Daily admission to Super Mega is $2.00 per person per day. Children aged 13 and under receive free entry.

Attendees are encouraged to please bring a food donation of “most-needed items” to Edmonton’s Food Bank (see the Edmonton Food Bank website for details). A portion of financial proceeds will also be donated to the food bank.

Super Mega also features Edmonton DJs playing tunes throughout the event.

April is “Vinyl Month in Edmonton”

Super Mega Records Garage Sale is part of a jam-packed schedule of vinyl-focused happenings in Edmonton.

On April 13, Edmonton’s vinyl retailers will welcome crowds for Record Store Day which celebrates the culture of the independently owned record store. The day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores across the world.

On April 28, the Edmonton Music Collectors Show returns to Central Lions Recreation Centre (11113 113 Street) from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Dead Vinyl Society is proud to partner with the show to help book DJs and hosts from CJSR FM 88.5 who will provide the soundtrack for the day.

The Edmonton Music Collectors Show is Northern Alberta’s premiere event for buying, selling, and trading rare, vintage, contemporary and collectible vinyl. Patrons will also find a selection of CDs, music-related DVDs, cassettes, music memorabilia, record collecting supplies, audio equipment and more.
